About The Opportunity

This is a fast-paced role supporting the Revenue team at NSW Health Pathology in delivery of the final phase of the Statewide Billing System. We are looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic team player who will help deliver this project through development, testing, training and rollout.

We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. We encourage our staff to be involved in research and innovation opportunities to help create safer, healthier communities. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.

What you'll be doingTo provide project support within the Billing Project Team to support current billing systems and the development and implementation of the Statewide Pathology Billing Solution (SPBS).

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce or Information Technology (ICT) or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to proactively identify issues and formulate strategies to address them.
• Excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people while maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, organise and prioritise high-volume workloads.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to understand and investigate legislation, procedures and instructions in relation to pathology billing including Medicare and health fund rules.
• Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSW Health Pathology RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
