Project / Site Manager

MJM Recruit is proud to partner with a progressive, privately owned construction company with 35+ years of industry success. As a highly regarded business in the commercial and industrial space, they continue to deliver exceptional projects and are now seeking an experienced Project / Site Manager with local knowledge to lead multiple builds in Brisbane.

This could be a dual role perfect for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast paced environment working onsite managing subcontractors, coordinating trades, and steering each project through to handover on time and on budget.

🛠️ About the Role:

In this leadership position, you’ll take responsibility from contract award through to final delivery. You’ll be a key driver of quality, cost control, safety, and client satisfaction across commercial and industrial projects.

Current projects are located in Richlands, Heathwood, and Baringa, with more in the pipeline.

🔩 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of project delivery from planning to handover

• Act as the lead Project Manager and / or Site Manager onsite

• Manage subcontractors, trades, and suppliers with clear direction

• Ensure compliance with all safety and construction standards (SWMS, QA)

• Manage project costs, timelines, and contractual obligations

• Track and report on progress, performance, and profitability

• Proactively identify and resolve risks or issues that impact project delivery

• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

• Lead with accountability, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset

✅ What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager, or in a dual-role capacity

• Strong understanding of commercial/industrial construction methodologies

• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills

• Confidence handling head contract and subcontract variations

• Exceptional planning, budgeting, and resource allocation abilities

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• A problem-solver who thrives under pressure and meets deadlines

• Tech-savvy, organised, and committed to best-practice delivery

• Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems and SWMS compliance

• A proactive, motivated and accountable work ethic
