About the Role:

This leading international firm who provide advice for a number of the worlds’ largest and most prominent organisations.  Their clientele work with them in regard to world-wide high profile transactions, projects and disputes which means their matter work is second to none.

With business at an all-time high, this team of experts need an experienced Real Estate/Property Legal Secretary to join the fun! Providing full support in this busy practice, you will be working closely with a team of Real Estate specialists (including the Melbourne Office Managing Partner) who are responsible for offering an array of services to clients including assisting with the purchase and sale of property; high volume development matters; commercial property transactions; leasing and providing property related advice.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and formatting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to property transactions.
  • Managing client files and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinating property searches, land registry applications, and other administrative tasks.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in property transactions.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Handling telephone calls and emails, ensuring professional and timely communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within property law or conveyancing.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PEXA and legal billing software (Aderant advantageous).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with property law and conveyancing procedures is highly desirable.
