Position Overview:
We are seeking a QC Lab Officer to join our Quality Assurance and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Working in a fast-paced, GMP-compliant manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses, reviewing raw materials, batches and finished products, and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures and regulatory standards
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct laboratory tests: Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, water, liquid batches, and finished products to ensure quality and safety. And Coordinate External Testing.
Quantify liquid batch adjustments and colour matching.
Compliance with quality standards: Ensure that all products meet all quality criteria as per retained sample, batch sheets, or management instructions. Produce a compliant Certificate of Analysis.
Document results: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of testing, observations, and any discrepancies in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Maintain bulk liquid retention samples, log and storage.
Monitor and assess production lines: Work closely with the production team to monitor in-process quality checks and ensure they meet required specifications.
Collaboration with R&D: Collaborate with Research & Development (R&D) teams to meet customer quality requirements and assist in product development.
Ensure product labelling: Ensure all products are correctly labelled with batch numbers and other essential information.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory and production environment, ensuring all equipment and tools are stored and used safely.
Maintenance notification: Notify the Operations Manager, Technical Manager, or Maintenance Team if any machinery requires maintenance or if there are any equipment issues.
Issue reporting: Report any accidents, near misses, or OHS issues immediately to the appropriate managers.
Waste reduction: Ensure minimal rejects are generated by your actions and perform all tasks in a cost-effective manner.
When required, perform QC online functions
About the Successful Candidate:
Scientific tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
Efficiency of tasks and report writing competency
Sound working knowledge of industry related certification requirements, Accident Reporting Process, Factory Rules/Guidelines and the Code of Conduct
Ability to work in a fast-paced teamwork environment
Sound verbal and written communication skills
Quality focus and attention to detail
