Qualified Greenkeeper

Kooringal Golf Club, located in Altona, 18 kms west of Melbourne's CBD is after the services of a Qualified Turf Tradesperson (Greenkeeper) to join their course maintenance team. The successful applicant will work with a dedicated, friendly tight knit team that strives for improvement not only on the golf course but also improving staff skills along the way.  This is a full time opportunity where you will play a crucial role in maintaining our course and ensuring members and guests have an exceptional experience. It's an exciting period at the club with the Crafter Mogford Course Enhancement plan rolling out as well as a number of other course improvements.

Personal attributes and qualifications of the successful applicant will include:

• Have a strong work ethic

• Be a team player

• Good communication skills

• Be punctual

• Excellent attention to detail

• Sound knowledge in turf machinery use

• Skills in disease and pest identification

• Minimum Certificate III Sports Turf management qualification or equivalent

An above award hourly rate will be offered to the successful applicant. Work hours are 38 hours a week plus weekend/public holiday work which is on a rotating roster and paid at penalty rates. Additional overtime is required throughout the year for special events and busy periods. Daily staff meals, uniforms and safety equipment are provided as well as a supportive workplace to further your skills in not only turf management but also professional development and industry training days.
