There are exceptional opportunities for skilled and experienced Registered Nurses to join the bustling Perioperative Department at a private hospital in Sydney. There is an availability of full-time positions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
- Undertaking peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team including the Surgical Consultant, Fellows, Registrar, and Allied Health to achieve excellence in patients' clinical outcomes and hospital experience;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the patient;
- Documenting the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology.
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an RN in a perioperative setting;
- Experience in Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Cardiothoracic and Orthopaedic (Desirable);
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Commitment to quality patient care;
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Exceptional computer skills.
REMUNERATION
$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.

The hospital, located in Sydney, is one of the largest private hospitals in NSW, providing an extensive range of surgical and medical services. The Operating Theatre complex has 16 theatres, 32 first-stage recovery bays, and additional 32-second stage chairs. The specialties include General (including laparoscopic), Colorectal, Bariatric, Orthopaedic, Cardiothoracic, ENT, Plastics, Paediatric, Oral & Dental Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmic, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Vascular surgery.
