Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our Wound Service.

About usWith 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit and an ICU, Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

Areas of responsibility include: 

  • Management and education of patients with a complex wound 
  • Education of undergraduate and post graduate nursing students.
  • Implementation of, and education of staff regarding Pressure Ulcer prevention program.
  • Extensive wound care experience in an acute and or community setting
  • Understanding of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
  • Advanced skills and experience in wound management, and / or working towards postgraduate
  • Wound management qualifications.
  • Membership to AWMA (Australian Wound Management Association) preferable
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong interest in own ongoing professional development.
  • Hold a current Queensland driver’s license
  • Current Criminal Check
