Excellent opportunities exist for Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to join the Emergency Department at a private hospital in Melbourne. Permanent full-time and part-time positions are available.


ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care;
  • Providing complex and multi-disciplinary care;
  • Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs;
  • Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
  • Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Authority to work in Australia;
  • Working with Children check (if relevant);
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
  • At least 2 years of experience in emergency or critical care nursing;
  • Flexibility to work a roster of Morning and Afternoon shifts as well as Saturdays when required;
  • Demonstrated experience in emergency or critical care nursing;
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused.
REMUNERATION

Salary ranges between $35.33 and $47.25 per hour.


ABOUT THE FACILITY 

The hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility that provides Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, a 20-bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services, including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. A 24/7 Emergency Department that covers a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, 15 theatres are offered, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs, and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, and more.
