About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This position is focused on clinical rehabilitation and musculoskeletal therapy in support of physiotherapy-led treatment programs. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with physiotherapists and other health professionals to support client recovery and improve functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments, reviewing musculoskeletal health, injury history, and treatment goals.
- Develop and implement individualised remedial treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional needs.
- Apply a range of therapeutic techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and assisted stretching to treat soft tissue injuries and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
- Collaborate closely with physiotherapists and other practitioners as part of integrated care plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records and progress notes in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Educate clients on aftercare strategies, posture, and injury prevention techniques.
- Adhere to strict infection control and workplace health and safety standards in a clinical environment.
- Participate in professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge in clinical massage techniques.
Essential Criteria:
- An AQF Diploma of Remedial Massage, or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' professional experience in remedial or musculoskeletal massage therapy
- Demonstrated experience working in a clinical, rehabilitation, or allied health setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, injury management, and functional rehabilitation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client-focused approach
Desirable:
- Experience working alongside physiotherapists or other health professionals in a multidisciplinary team
- First Aid and CPR certification
