About the Role

The Merchandise Replenishment Planner supports the overall business with the tactical responsibilities of analysing the sell-through of products, making data-driven decisions for replenishment, executing and tracking purchase orders from point of origin to warehouse, updating OTB, and preparing reports that help enable the buying team to make intelligent business decisions.


This is a 12 month parental leave contract, staring in approximately May 2025.

Responsibilities
    • Identify and purchase new & replenishment styles across multiple categories under the direction of the Director of Planning & Replenishment.
    • All administrative tasks related to the accurate creation and maintenance of purchase orders for selected departments.
    • Maintain your departments within 6-8 weeks of stock cover.
    • Manage OTB weekly for your departments.
    • Ensure all replenished items meet sizing requirements of AU 4-16, XS-XL and work with suppliers on adding additional sizes.
    • Partner with leadership to create pre-season, item-level inventory and sales plans that align with product rankings, merchandising strategies, and tops-down financial goals.
    • Increase margin for your departments by negotiating better costs with suppliers when placing replenishment orders.
    • Spend full OTB each month, but not exceeding without leadership approval.
    • Monthly closing stock on hand must have no more than 10% variance in excess of budget.
    • Review top 20 sellers by region (US/AU) for departments each day to ensure no OOS on top sellers.
    • Pull a monthly report of top overstock items for departments for markdowns.
    • Maintain accurate IP tags for all products within your departments.
    • Review high return rates for items in your department and make informed decisions about improving the quality to reduce the return rate or ceasing to carry the style (Permission from leadership on top sellers).
Stock Cover
    • Order 6-8 weeks of cover from the landing date accounting for a 3-week lead time from suppliers.
    • Ensure all replenished items are being purchased x-works unless prior approval from leadership.
    • Zero top repeat styles are sold out.
    • Zero top repeat styles with more than 2 sizes sold out.
    • Each department has a full sweep conducted weekly in line with other weekly goals.
    • Monitor your on-order filter to ensure your cover is still adequate based on recent sales trends.
    • Form a cover plan for Chinese New Year in partnership with leadership.
Skills & Experience
    • Have 2 + years' experience as a planner/buyer
    • Great data analysis skills
    • Great communication and relationship building skills
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Know and love our brand & product, connecting with our customer
