About the Role: You will be a part of the Ethics team and will ensure that the review, submission, and management of research projects and funded applications meet all administrative and regulatory requirements. The research services officer will report directly to the team lead, ethics, and interact with researchers, academic staff, and students, as well as other Curtin University staff, as required.

Your responsibilities will include administering processes and making decisions based on ethical principles by applying your expertise on research services and systems.

Provide expert ethics advice and support to research stakeholders based on a broad understanding of a range of regulatory requirements, university policies, and external requirements.

Solve problems through the standard application of research policies and procedures.

Manage inquiries regarding research ethics applications, and work within the team to resolve more complex matters.

Engage and liaise with key university stakeholders (e.g., researchers, the research office, people and culture, digital and technology solutions/DTS, and research participants).

Support the embedding of a change in the service delivery offered to Curtin’s researchers through commitment to continuous improvement and new ways of working.
