South Australian Medical Specialists is a multi-disciplinary medical specialist centre, with a focus on respiratory care, operating from their purpose-built centre based in Hove, SA. South Australian Medical Specialists is the largest private provider of respiratory care in SA with currently 13 respiratory and sleep physicians on the team. We provide onsite lung function testing for our patients as well as mobile testing at other metropolitan and regional locations.

Role:
Utilising computer-based testing equipment in accordance with established protocols.
Conducting precise respiratory diagnostic measurements in compliance with recognised national and international standards including:
Spirometry
Diffusion capacity
Body plethysmography
Nitrogen washout
Fractional exhaled nitric oxide
Six-minute walk tests
Bronchial provocation testing (mannitol)
Basic administrative duties including but not limited to:
Patient booking and scheduling.
Data entry.
Receipting payments.
Clinic preparation.
Education and training:
Tertiary degree in Health Science, Applied Science, or a related field with a focus on human physiology.
Demonstrated:
Clinical knowledge in physiology.
Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles and procedures.
Understanding of quality management principles and practices.
Previous experience in lung function testing is advantageous but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Other necessary operational training will be provided.
