Poised to elevate the culinary scene on the Gold Coast – The Langham, Gold Coast offers guests a variety of venues each with their own unique offerings, with one thing for certain – our signature outlets are matched by our truly bespoke service.  Due to the abundance of demand for our Outlets - we are seeking distinguished and passionate food and beverage leaders to join us as Restaurant Manager.

Key Responsibilities
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the day to day operations and organization of the Restaurant, managing and supervising the work and maintaining and improving F&B quality, service and guest satisfaction. As a Restaurant Manager, you will ensure that attentive and bespoke service is provided to guests, and have a superior menu and wine knowledge to establish the restaurant experience as one of the most exquisite dining experiences in Australia.  

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Outlets Manager, you will be working to meet and exceed your Outlet KPIs including; Guest experience and loyalty, Colleague Engagement and wellbeing, Outlet Profitability and Productivity & you will lead by example in regards to service and guest satisfaction and train colleagues to deliver on our Hotels Vision, Mission and Values.

As a luxury minded and guest focused Food & Beverage Leader, you will support the delivery of Outlet Operating Procedures, sequence of service, menu and wine knowledge and support recruitment across the Outlet.  You will also coach, mentor and guide our dedicated team of Colleagues to ensure The Property meets our Brand Standards and pursues service excellence.

Task & Responsibilities

•    Ensure the efficient running of the F&B Outlet and communicate effectively to the team. 
•    To be present on the floor for the majority of rostered shift assessing service standards and staffing requirements and if required, coordinating the movement of staffing between outlets as per business needs.
•    Play a crucial role in the innovation, growth and development of the F&B Outlets and be familiar with Industry trends and developments.
•    Maintain FORBES 5* standards through total departmental training, and track training progress of all team members according to the service standards.  
•    Ensure to comply with the standards and highest standards of customer service is provided at all times.
•    Effective labour management – supervising and/or creating rosters based on forecast and business demands.  
•    Support Supervisor to prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation.
•    Analyse the F&B P&L to seek opportunities to get better results and gain a better understanding on the overall business. 
•    Prepare and distribute rosters via Zambion and work to justify manning levels and provide adequate staffing in line with commercial responsibilities and service standards.
•    Training and development of all colleagues from the period of induction into the department.  All colleagues to be trained and advised on the standards of performance and in line with Brand Standards.

Qualification & Experience

Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in the role you will have at least three years’ experience as Restaurant Manager at a Hatted /Premier Restaurant, luxury hotel and/or International Hotel Brand/s.

  • Wine Knowledge (WSET Qualification desirable), familiar with wine pairing 
  • Availability to work weekends and nights
  •  Excellent communication and upselling skills
