We are seeking a qualified Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our dedicated team, and ensure the highest standards of service and efficiency at our venue. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for hospitality.

Tasks & responsibilities

As a full-time Restaurant Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and coordinate food and beverage staff, ensuring duties are appropriately allocated. Lead by example with a hands-on approach.
  • Supervise daily activities, ensuring efficiency and excellence in service.
  • Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, and oversee supply orders to minimise loss and control costs.
  • Interact with customers to assess their satisfaction, handle feedback, and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to maintain PASTA GOGO’s service standards.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to implement strategies that increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, transactions, and budgets, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
  • Collaborate with chefs to plan menus, introduce new dishes, and organise special events or promotions.
  • Ensure the restaurant adheres to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, encouraging teamwork and professional development..

Qualifications & experience

The minimum requirements for this position are:

  • Education: AQF Diploma or higher in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience working in restaurants and hospitality.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Hands-on approach to restaurant management with a passion for customer service.
    • Ability to manage restaurant operations, staffing, and budgets effectively.
    • Experience in marketing, promotions, and customer engagement strategies.
    • Knowledge of stock control, purchasing, and cost management.
