Restoration Technician

Resto Rescue is a restoration and makesafe company providing 24/7 restoration and makesafe services and are seeking experienced Restoration Technicians to join our growing team.

Resto Rescue is one of the most reputable restoration and makesafe companies across Victoria, and a preferred partner to several of Australia's largest insurance builders. Our team members are some of the first responders to attend disasters and catastrophic events, specialising in insurance restoration and makesafe services. Our teams are involved in mitigating damages caused by events such as flood, fire, water, mould and catastrophic storm damage.  

The successful candidates will be required to perform water damage restoration, compiling detailed inventory reports, dealing with invasive species, make safe services and mitigating further damage.

The role will include travel in and around Victoria along with interstate, with overtime and weekend hours on a rotating roster as required.

Initial and ongoing training and support will be provided for all candidates to ensure that works are completed safely and to the high standard of quality that Resto Rescue is known for within the industry.

Qualifications:

A trade qualification in carpentry, plumbing or related field would be advantageous but not essential.

Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform emergency “make safe” works to mitigate further damage on initial attendance.

• Prepare detailed and accurate reports, scope of works and quotations on damage and loss including inventory of contents.

• Carrying out mould remediation, structural drying and fire restoration services in conjunction with building reinstatement repairs.

• Maintain a high level of communication. liaise with insured, admin staff and management

• Set up, handling and usage of specialised restoration equipment.

• Maintaining a high level of Health and Safety, ensuring all industry standards are adhered to.

• Potential for regional and interstate travel required to provide support during catastrophic events

• Respond to after hours and weekend work on roster schedule.

Requirements:

• Background in building and contents restoration and/or background in cleaning preferred but not essential

• Cleaning or trade background is highly regarded but not essential

• Willing to travel for work

• Respond to after hours and weekend work

Required Licenses: 

• Drivers License 

• White Card 

• Police Check 

• Working with Children
