Full-time Retail Buyer position available in Gregory Hills NSW 2557 Emporium Brazil Foods is a leading distribution company passionate about bringing the authentic flavours of Brazil to Sydney. They specialize in sourcing and selling premium Brazilian goods and locally produced products tailored for Brazilian gastronomy, including acai, fine cuts of meat, and speciality ingredients. Goods, we are excited to invite applications for a passionate and dedicated full-time Retail Buyer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing, selecting, and managing an exceptional range of products that reflect the high standards and rich culinary traditions expected by their customers. Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Research and identify suppliers of Brazilian and local products suitable for Brazilian cuisine.
- Negotiate process, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Manage the purchasing process from product selection to delivery, ensuring product quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyse market trends to ensure an innovative and competitive product range.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing and distribution to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to secure reliable, high-quality supply lines.
- Monitor product performance and adjust purchasing strategies to maximize profitability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- At least 01 year of proven experience as a Retail Buyer, ideally with speciality foods or international goods.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian gastronomy, food culture, and culinary products.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $73,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
