With two thriving locations in Murrumbeena and Fairfield, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Retail Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the next chapter of our retail success story.

 

About the Role

This role goes beyond the traditional scope of retail – you’ll be at the centre of everything from people leadership to inventory and strategy. You’ll oversee daily operations while helping to implement the bigger vision for Oasis. Your goal will be to keep the floor running smoothly and the customer experience seamless while collaborating closely with our kitchen, wholesale, and marketing teams.

Task & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the store including stock control, merchandising, and customer service across multiple departments.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of department heads, supervisors, and floor staff, fostering a culture of accountability and team spirit.
  • Forecast stock needs and implement stock level strategies to minimise wastage and maximise availability.
  • Drive store sales and ensure targets are consistently met through effective leadership and operational management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Create and maintain rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels while controlling labour costs.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on budgeting, business planning, and implementing growth strategies.
  • Ensure the store complies with all food safety, health & safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Develop in-store promotions and support seasonal campaigns in partnership with marketing.
  • Handle customer concerns, monitor feedback trends, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure systems, procedures, and policies are followed and support the rollout of new initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training programs that reflect Oasis' values and service expectations.

Qualification & Experience

 

Who You Are

You’re a confident, solutions-oriented leader with at least 2 years experience in fast-paced retail environments. you have a bachelor degree in Business , Management , Accounting or similar fields. You have a deep understanding of retail operations, exceptional people skills, and a genuine interest in food, culture, and community. You’re ready to take ownership of outcomes and lead from the front.
