Retail Sales Assistant / Customer Service Specialist

TGT are a locally owned and operated Agricultural and Hardware business located on the Atherton Tablelands and Mareeba Shire in Far North Queensland. We are currently seeking applications for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our Tolga Branch on a part-time or casual 9.00am to 3.00pm basis, to provide our valued customers with the quality hardware, chemical and rural products they need.

Our Tolga branch supplies and services the needs of our local rural and farming community in the southern Tablelands with everything from Steel and fencing, to animal health, nutrition, hardware and rural merchandise. Are you passionate about the Rural & Livestock industry?

If you have experience in retail sales, building and hardware products and would like to work around school hours then this could be the perfect job for you!

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the position will involve assisting with customer service, merchandising, stock handling and stock control. 

To be considered a good fit for this position, you will ideally have:

• An interest in general hardware or rural products

• Excellent interpersonal skills; 

• Be reliable and self motivated;

• Have an ability to build great rapport with customers;  

• Show attention to detail; and

• Be committed to workplace health and safety. 

• Be physically fit

This position involves face to face customer service working at our main sales counter. You will be required to operate our Point of Sale system and be the first point of contact in the store.

The successful candidate will be required to work 9.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility if required. 

A Forklift licence would be useful but is not essential.
