The Opportunity
Due to our ongoing expansion in the market, we have opportunities for Road and Site Sweeper Operators based at our depot in Acacia Ridge. Successful candidates should be reliable, flexible, and have a passion for driving large vehicles. Work will be in and around Brisbane, with an average of 30-45 hours per week and can include afternoon, night and morning shifts as needed. This role is a part of a friendly crew and directly reports to the Operations Supervisor.
Sweeper Operator experience with some dual steering know-how is desirable…but if you don’t have this, and have truck driving experience with a willingness to learn, we can provide the training. Easy!
What are the main requirements of the Role?
Performing of all required road and site sweeping duties as scheduled
Performing any general labouring duties that may be required
Ensuring road sweeping work meets the standards of management and the expectations of customers
The completion of site inductions and accreditation with respect to customer sites where required
Performing all required start-up, wash-down end of shift and routine maintenance procedures
What do I need to be great at this role ?
Minimum of 3 years Truck driving experience (council garbage truck, dual steering experience is a bonus)
Be able to work independently whilst maintaining a company focus
Display a sense of urgency, reliability and punctuality in your work
Possess strong time management and organisational skills
Be willing to work varied and flexible hours including weekend work is essential
Have a good energy and fitness level
Continuous safety awareness
Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol screen
Have a current Queensland MR licence or higher and a White Card
