We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Altona Early Years Hub, in our Integrated 3 & 4-Year-Old Kindergarten
Altona Early Years Hub provides
families with a state-of-the-art early year’s facility located on the site of
the Altona College P-9 School. At the heart of this facility is the belief that
each child is a competent learner from birth. The hub’s team of nurturing and
experienced educators deliver high quality and inclusive childcare (from birth
to six years) and three and four-year-old kindergarten programs that help each
child realise their potential.
This position involves shared leadership and close
collaboration with our Kindergarten Teacher, working together to create a
high-quality, play-based learning environment. You'll be part of an
enthusiastic and dedicated team that values strong partnerships with families
and places a high priority on child safety and wellbeing.
Working full-time, 40 hours per week on a rotating roster, between the hours of 6:50am - 6:00pm with a monthly RDO!
About you
You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference.
You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child.
You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member.
You have a drive to grow and improve continually.
You value kindness and respect.
You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations.
You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a WWCC and first aid certificate.
About the role
You’ll develop a high-quality educational program for the 3/4-year-old program in consultation with children, families and educators to achieve agreed outcomes for children.
