About the role

·       Advise & coach operational managers, supervisors, and workers regarding achieving compliance and best practice for WHS, worker’s compensation & injury management, safety & environmental matters.

·       Provide HSE assurance & due diligence support, including undertaking internal audits and facilitating external audits.

·       Ensure governance processes are implemented to assist management in ensuring the HSE legal and business requirements are being met, and injuries appropriately classified and managed.

·       Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the HSE Manager.

About You 

·       Certificate IV, Diploma and/or tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent

·       Experience working in construction, rail and mining industries highly regarded

·       Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands

·       Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
