Founded in 2014, Timber Building Systems (TBS) has quickly established itself as a market leader in the manufacture of high-quality prefabricated single and multi-story homes, townhouses and commercial buildings. About the Position
Joining as a senior member of the TBS Sales Team, the primary purpose of this position is to lead the sales of our brand new range of innovatively designed factory built, prefabricated timber homes.
As an established and successful business we have recently expanded our product offering to include a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, which can be built off-site in our factory and then delivered and installed in only a matter of weeks, Clients can choose a number of elements in each home and the level of finish they want – some may want to complete the internal finished themselves, whilst others may choose a complete package which is delivered and installed as ready to move in!
As well as being built in sustainable timber, these homes are ideal for people who want a fast turnaround on their build, rather than waiting for months to have a home built onsite in the traditional way.
Key to our success will be to establish sales channels with builders, developers, real estate agents as well as accommodation providers, tourist businesses and government agencies and local authorities.
Working closely with the General Manager and others in the business, you will build and execute our sales strategy, develop sales channels, build relationships with clients, design our sales processes and, most importantly, drive our sales. It is envisaged that our clients will be largely Victorian based initially and often in outer metropolitan and regional areas, although we have already had successful installations with interstate clients.
Ideally you will bring experience of achieving past success in a similar role, where you designed the sales strategy, established and grew a sales pipeline from infancy and built it into a business success. You may come from a real estate background or have worked with a large home builder or perhaps you have already worked in a prefabricated building business. You may have sold new homes, construction projects or property development/subdivision opportunities.
Key to your success in this position will be your passion and drive to achieve sales success from day one. You will relish the opportunity to develop something new, to jump in and do whatever it takes make this a success. You will be the sort of person who likes to get things moving, try some different approaches and adapt your methods as you learn. You will be supported by a great team who will give you the resources, expertise and insights to be successful.
You will also get the chance to showcase your thinking processes and influence how we continue to enhance our product offering and sales strategy. You will be a ‘doer’ who wants to be the face of our sales team in this new channel and who becomes the ‘go to’ person for our clients who will view you as a trusted advisor. As our team grows there will be great opportunities to be a senior sales leader in our business.
