Within the telecommunications division they currently have 3 teams, and they are looking to expand the division with one additional team of two employees (1 Team Leader and Second Rigger).
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader with a strong background in steelwork to within telecommunications infrastructure projects across Australia.
As a member of the Telecommunications and Electrical team you will be responsible for Leading an on-site team for the physical installation, integration and commissioning of Telecommunication equipment and structures.
The Team Leader plays a vital role in overseeing on-site work, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards. This highly hands-on role involves managing operations at multiple locations nationwide, ensuring efficient and safe task completion.
Ideally our clients are looking to onboard a Team Leader together with a Second Rigger they have worked with in the past. Therefore, we welcome both teams of two as well as individuals to apply.
Responsibilities:
Familiarize yourself with installation requirements, customer standards, and associated equipment manuals.Ensure installation activities maintain network and structural integrity.Be familiar with project budget and timeline requirements.Provide the Project Supervisor with daily progress reports as required.Lead team members on-site to ensure safe, efficient, and high-standard work.Work with limited supervision while maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality.Create project handover documents that meet quality requirements for your installation work.Directly manage field staff in day-to-day tasks.Provide on-site training and development to junior staff.Adhere to all Safety Management Plans and lead others to do the same.Promote an on-site culture that motivates and encourages safe and effective performance.Submit staff development and training requests to meet new technology and project requirements.Partake in continual training, both company-provided and self-initiated, to stay current with technological developments.Strictly follow processes under HVAC’s document control system, participate in quality audits and improvement activities, and maintain a quality focus in all work.Perform any other relevant duties as required by the Manager and Supervisor.

The following requirements are essential in order to perform the role:
Minimum 5+ years in the telecommunications or steelwork industry, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong background in field project delivery and site-based operations.Based in Brisbane, with the flexibility to travel across Australia as needed for site-based work and project requirements.Solid understanding of telecommunications installation, structural erection (monopoles, towers, guyed masts), and HVAC systems.Basic Rigging License (Advanced Rigging preferred), Dogging License, EWP License, White Card (Certificate), Tower Rescue Certificate, Working at Heights Certificate, and 4WD/off-road driver training Certificate required.Skilled in using field equipment (Load Cells, Theodolites, Laser Levels, Anritsu Site Master, PIM/Fibre testers) and proficient with Microsoft Office and media tools.Strong focus on safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.Excellent communication skills, able to interpret technical concepts and engage with stakeholders.
