About the role

MSS Security is seeking Full Time Security Officers to join our team as a Reliever at the La Trobe University campus in Bundoora. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for responding to incidents and conducting regular foot patrols across the campus grounds, maintaining a visible security presence at all times.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Conduct foot patrols of campuses mostly outdoors.
Escort people around the campus.
Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required.
Direct and help people to navigate around the campus.
Write reports in response to incidents.

Ideal candidates will have:

Proven security industry experience.
Previous security experience in educational sectors (highly desired).
Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
Ability to walk up to 15-20km a day.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in operating radios and communication platforms

Requirements:

Full Australian working rights.
Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
Security Licence with control room subcategory.
Valid Victorian drivers licence with no restrictions.
Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
Valid First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain).
