Security Technician

About the role

Scarlett is seeking a dedicated and skilled Security Technician to join our growing team in Moorabbin, Victoria. As a full-time Security Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, ensuring the safety and protection of our clients' properties.

What you'll be doing

·       Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of security systems, including alarms, CCTV, access control, and related equipment

·       Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with security systems, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner

·       Liaise with clients to understand their security requirements and provide recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements

·       Maintain accurate records of all completed work, including detailed documentation of issues, solutions, and system configurations

·       Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and industry regulations

·       Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and best practices

·       Assist PM and Estimator when required

What we're looking for

·       A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Security Technician or in a similar role

·       Strong technical skills and knowledge of security systems, including alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Data & Fibre

·       Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals

·       Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to quickly identify and resolve issues

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and customer service skills

·       A current driver's licence and reliable transportation

·       Certification or training in security system installation and maintenance

• Current Security Licence

• Data / structured cabling installation and terminating

• Open Cablers License with Endorsements

• Current C-Class driver’s license

• Construction Industry Training Card (White Card)

• Electrical Licence is preferred but not essential
