Security Technician

Based in Molendinar, Qld, Eximm is a facility management provider with fully integrated range of property services. We are seeking an experienced security technician for Eximm’s Gold Coast operations. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the electronic security systems of the properties we manage.  This role is a crucial part of our service offering as it keeps our clients’ properties secure and compliant and deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and violence. The successful candidate will maximise customer satisfaction and minimize downtimes by providing exceptional support. 

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for installation, service and troubleshooting of alarm equipment, analogue and IP CCTV equipment and networking of IP systems, access control and intercom systems for both residential and commercial properties. You will be expected to respond to a variety of technical issues reported by clients or the security system. You will be expected to work on an assortment of electronic security systems, software and equipment and ensure seamless operations between software and hardware. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service by educating and training clients on proper way to operate alarms, cameras, software to prevent future malfunctions. 

Skills and Experience

• Relevant Certificate III or IV qualifications; 
• Three year or more experience as a proven security technician may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications; 
• Exceptional diagnostics skills with access control, intruder alarms, inner range integrity, intercom systems such as Urmet or Aiphone, CCTV such as HikVision, Milestone
• Solid understanding of IT networks
• Problem-solving and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Knowledge of security regulations
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently without supervision
• Current driver licence
