The opportunity
The Senior Asset Programs Engineer at Greater Western Water (GWW) focuses on enhancing the performance of the GWW network by enabling the delivery of asset programs contained within GWW's asset management plans by:
- Overseeing and coordinating the establishment of asset programs for GWW's sewer and water networks.
- Optimising asset program development methodologies and packaging.
- Providing subject matter expertise to other technical roles within the Asset Program's team.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and deliver annual condition monitoring and preventative maintenance programs for the sewer and water networks
- Oversee the development and preparation of selected Asset Programs for delivery
- Ensure customer expectation KPIs are being met and/or managed through considered asset management processes
- Perform network data monitoring and analytics to put forward assets requiring renewal.
- Oversee continual improvement activities related to how Asset Programs are developed
- Ensure asset program data and outputs are appropriately managed and reported
- Provide technical expertise on Asset Programs to stakeholders within the business
Skills & Experience
- Understanding of asset performance management, including monitoring and reliability.
- Experience working with and/or writing asset management plans
- Understanding of condition monitoring principles, and data analytics to provide insights for decision making.
- Understanding of water supply hydraulic system operations and performance.
- Ability to use system data to identify and analyse trends, and patterns and provide insights in organisational decision making.
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of the water sector.
- Sound analytical and well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the use of systems that support asset management processes, such as GIS and SCADA.
- Extracting insights from data.
- Contract and/or program management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly at all levels with staff, customers and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited direction and display a self-managed proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
