Senior Broadacre Crop Farm Worker

Our client CR & RH Forward is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Broadacre Crop Farm worker to join their team.This is a full-time role that will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our large-scale farming business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operating large agricultural machinery, coupled with sound mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and repairs and crop farming.

Task & Responsibilities

•    Assisting with the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of broadacre crops including wheat, barley, export hay and canola
•    Operating and maintaining a range of farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and sprayers
•    Monitoring crop health
•    Assisting with the maintenance and repair of farm infrastructure and equipment
•    Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
•    Providing training and mentorship to junior farm workers

Qualification & Experience

Qualifications:

Valid Australian driver’s license.
Proven experience in driving large agricultural machinery.
Sound mechanical knowledge and understanding of maintenance and repairs.
Familiarity with farming practices and seasonal requirements associated with broadacre farming.
Strong focus on safety for oneself and others in the workplace.
Ability to work long hours during peak seasons, compliant with Fair Work regulations.
Competent organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to enhance teamwork and collaboration.
