About the role

Senior Building Surveyor is responsible for the thorough assessment of development applications and the performance of all functions of a registered certifier, including the issue of Construction and Complying Development Certificates and carrying out critical stage inspections of building works. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related field or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
  • Currently registered as a Building Surveyor (restricted all Classes of building) or higher, under the Building and Development Certifiers Act

Other important information

  • The commencing salary for this position is $99K plus Leaseback plus 11.5% Super. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $119K on completion of assessment of skills and performance.
  • We have a permanent full-time 
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite 
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
