Senior Educator (Childcare) Out of School Hours Care

Gosford Regional Community Services Inc is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Educator in our Outside School Hours Care service. 

You will join our staff on a permanent part-time basis, working in an intentional play-based learning program with a team of dedicated educators.   You may be currently working in a similar role and looking for a permanent position with guaranteed hours and access to paid leave.

You must be available Mon to Fri between 2:30 and 6:30 pm for a rotating roster with a guaranteed 15 hours per week in term time.  Additional shifts are often available, particularly during Vacation Care. We have two OSHC services, both in the Wyoming area and you may be rostered at either.

As part of the  team, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children attending our service and their families

• Creating an inviting environment which fosters creativity and independence and supports children’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

• Encouraging children to develop independence and responsibility through the establishment of a proactive environment that builds confidence and resilience.

• Recording observations and evaluations

About You 
This role would suit an experienced applicant who has a minimum 2 years recent experience working with primary school age children. This may be in a childcare, sporting, arts, dance or drama environment.  You will have high ethical and professional standards, and hold, or be willing to obtain, a cleared Police Check and current Working With Children Check. 

If successful, 1st Aid training would be offered along with relevant child safety accreditation. Further professional development will be available as part of your employment.  We also offer support for anyone enrolled in or interested in undertaking a diploma in childcare.
