Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client, an EPCM company, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Perth team.

Project: Iron Ore or Mineral Sands Project
Location: Perth
Duration: 6-8 months initial casual contract (with a view for extension)

The role responsibilities include:

• Prepare HV & LV system designs and calculations in accordance with relevant Client and Australian Standards

• Prepare Power system studies including load flow, short circuit and harmonics

• Specification and technical document writing

What you’ll have:

• Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

• 8 years or more experience in Iron Ore or similar industry

• Experience in software design tools such as Smart Plant, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, CDEGS etc. is desirable

• Knowledge of power systems and LV/MV/HV design (up to 33kV)

• Familiar with cable sizing and schedule
