The Role

As a Senior Controls Electrician, you are responsible for the overall design and engineering of project specific solutions within the Engineering and Design Functional Support Team. They will be instrumental in the design, implementation and testing of high-quality solutions using engineering applications for Historians, SCADA, OT Networks, PLCs, RTUs, BESS and PV inverters.

Proficient in the designing and programming of ComAp essential.

Office based role with some ad-hoc SAT required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, development, and design of control systems (ComAp)
  • Perform engineering design and related duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including control system software development (PLC, SCADA, inverters, and generators), equipment specifications and selection, schematic and wiring design and testing of software.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, on budget, on schedule and safely.
  • Develop hardware and software functional design specifications
  • Design, implementation and testing of system architectures (OT) in industrial automation.
  • Participate in design reviews, SID, HAZOP and CHAZOPs
  • Redlining and revising drawings
  • Review of technical specification and relevant standards to ensure the engineering design is compliant
  • Development of ITPs, ITRs and Testing procedures
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholder, including clients.
  • Commissioning (FAT) at Pacific Energy facilities or client’s premises
  • Travel to site to commission (SAT) control systems as required.
  • Change management
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ, policies and procedures

About You:

  • Designing and programming of ComAp essential.
  • WA Electrical licence
  • C class drivers’ licence
  • Priority management to ensures work is completed on time to a safe and satisfactory
  • Experience in working in rural and remote locations
  • Software development experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
  • Aptitude for listening and understanding the needs of clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent computer skills proficient in MS Office
  • Understanding of QA and OSHE requirements
