Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support the group’s financial reporting requirements. This role will suit someone with a strong technical accounting background—ideally from a Big 4 firm—who has since gained hands-on experience in a large, complex commercial environment, preferably within multinational structures involving multiple entities and subsidiaries.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reporting, while being supported and encouraged to take on increasing responsibility as your capabilities develop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate accounting and financial reporting for a key division within the group
• Ensure compliance with AASB and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Manage end-of-month reporting processes and reconciliations
• Produce weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports
• Conduct detailed general ledger analysis
• Collaborate with divisional stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights
• Identify and implement process improvements for month-end reporting

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and a proactive attitude.
Key Requirements:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Commerce
• Big 4 or mid-tier public practice experience, with recent exposure to large commercial organisations
• Experience working in or with multinational businesses with multiple entities or group structures
• A collaborative, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and grow
