Senior Graphic Designer - Canberra Weekly & Canberra Daily

About the role

Newstime Media, publisher of Canberra Weekly magazine, CanberraDaily.com.au and its associated social media assets is seeking an experienced and talented Graphic Designer to join its team. This is a full-time role based at our Canberra office in Fyshwick.

What you'll be doing

• Designing eye-catching layouts, graphics, and visual elements for print and digital assets

• Collaborating with editorial, advertising and marketing teams to bring their ideas to life through impactful design

• Ensuring a consistent brand identity 

• Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and techniques

• Providing creative solutions to meet the needs of our advertisers

• Maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail in all your work

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field

• Minimum 5 years' experience in print and digital media, preferably in the media or publishing industry

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

• Experience in videography and video editing would be a plus

• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and colour theory

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

• Passion for creating visually stunning designs that engage and inspire

• Immediate start preferred
