Senior Java Engineer – Traded Risk Technology

Join a leading financial institution’s Traded Risk Technology team and help build scalable, high-quality systems that power Market and Credit Risk functions.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of backend solutions for risk technology systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architects, BAs, and DevOps experts in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to the optimization of CI/CD pipelines and drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and SQL Developer.

What We’re Looking For:

• MUST HAVE 8+ years of Java backend development experience, with strong banking industry exposure (mandatory).
• Expertise in Unix Shell Scripting, SQL (Oracle 19c preferred), and batch processing (Control-M experience a plus).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket) and Agile/DevOps best practices.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, assess technical risk, and design high-performance solutions.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence) and issue resolution platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Market Risk and Credit Risk technologies.
• Experience with C# backend development.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, containerization, and risk management platforms (e.g., Murex, Calypso, FIS).
• Technical certifications in Java, C#, or SQL.
