About your new Role:
As a Senior Claims Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our members receive exceptional support and care. In this role, you’ll guide the daily claims operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly while working closely with your team to deliver prompt, professional service. You’ll play an important part in enhancing the overall experience for our members, focusing on making each interaction positive and seamless, while also improving our internal processes to better serve both members and the team
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and process oversight with external administrators
- Help maintain our commitment to excellent service by making sure timeframes are met, providing members with timely support.
- Oversee claims handling to ensure our members’ cases are managed with care, and follow-up happens as promised.
- Review Trustee Submissions and ensure fiduciary responsibility in releasing superannuation claims
- Represent the claims team in the Claims Committee forum
- Identify opportunities to improve member service and business performance within the Service Delivery Claims team
- Work closely with the Leader Member Claims to ensure claims are handled smoothly, staying within agreed service levels.
- Assist in leading new regulatory initiatives to enhance the member experience, making sure we’re always improving.
- Continuously look for ways to improve our systems and processes to provide an even better experience for our members.
- Although this role does not involve direct reports, you will provide guidance to team members and offer support as needed, stepping in to ensure they have the resources and direction required to succeed
About You: -
Tertiary Qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) will be well regarded however not essential

Extensive knowledge of Superannuation products and processes, with expertise in Superannuation legislation for assessing Superannuation Death and TPD claims will be well regarded however not essential

Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in Superannuation or Insurance, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Strong understanding of Superannuation Insurance claims administration and related legislation will be well regarded however not essential
- You’ve had great success leading and guiding teams, helping them deliver excellent service and achieve top results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, making it easy for you to connect and collaborate with people at all levels, both inside and outside the organisation
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate and improve existing processes
- Highly motivated, driven, and committed to ongoing personal and professional development
