We specialise in Workplace Accident, Motor Vehicle Accident, Away from Home injury, TPD claims and Institutional Abuse. With 8 locations across South East QLD, we are rapidly growing our client base and consequently seeking to appoint an experienced Personal Injuries Lawyer with significant Workcover claims experience to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a senior lawyer you will be joining a team of highly regarded legal professionals. Reporting directly to the CEO, the right candidate will have the opportunity to actively play a role in the strategic growth and development of Trilby Misso Lawyers. As a senior lawyer and Team Leader, you will manage your own portfolio of personal injury matters (primarily WorkCover claims), with the support of a Paralegal and Secretary (to be appointed).

You would be responsible for:

• Converting and retaining new enquiries

• Managing files professionally, proactively and efficiently

• Providing clear, expert legal advice to clients

• Liaising with barristers, insurers, medical professionals and other key stakeholders

• Representing clients in negotiations, dispute resolution, or court processes as required

• Providing monthly reports to management

• Delivering exceptional client service

This newly created role is based in our Brisbane CBD office. This is a full time position with flexible work options, including work from home, available. This role would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career, wishing to work at a senior management level whilst still managing a portfolio of varied personal injury files, with the support of a well-established and highly regarded law firm.

About You

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

• have 5 years+ PAE in Personal Injury Law with significant WorkCover claim experience and knowledge

• have a demonstrated ability to communicate proactively, clearly and confidently to clients from a variety of backgrounds with a focus on empathy, understanding and support

• are able to discuss legal matters in a practical and straightforward way, ensuring clarity for all parties

• possess flexibility and adaptability to manage changing work requirements and varying volumes of work

• are commercially minded with an entrepreneurial spirit

• are highly organised, proactive and focussed on growing your own portfolio

• are KPI driven with a high level of motivation to exceed targets
