As a Senior Risk and Compliance Specialist you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients' business meets its regulatory obligations and supports key functions across all classes of insurance. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the senior management team, gain exposure to various aspects of the business, and help shape the future of the company's compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee business continuity planning and testing to ensure operational resilience.
  • Assist with the implementation of CPS 230 requirements for underwriting agencies.
  • Lead the enhancement of the risk management framework.
  • Chair the Risk and Compliance Committee to ensure smooth and effective operations.
  • Oversee all risk and compliance audits conducted by insurers across the 360 Group of Companies.
  • Maintain and manage the Compliance Framework, ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date.
  • Manage compliance reporting processes including the Breach Register, Complaints Register, and training registers.
  • Provide compliance training and guidance to business stakeholders.
  • Support the Claims team with Complaint Handling, Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR), and AFCA dispute management.
To be successful, you will need: 
  • At least 6 years of experience in risk and compliance roles, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • A strong understanding of APRA and ASIC regulations related to insurance product distribution.
  • Experience with internal or external compliance audits will be highly regarded.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent industry certifications in insurance is desirable.
