Senior Safe Attendant (Internal) -Fixed Term Contract

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Safe Attendant  to cover a period of leave within our Safe operations team. This opportunity is only open to current West HQ employees.

This is a 6-week secondment (23 April 2025 - 1 June 2025) with the potential for early conclusion if the incumbent returns prior to the end of the period.  Complete on the job training will be provided. 

This secondment will see you overseeing the daily operations of our Safe team, ensuring the consistent and secure flow of cash across the business. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and reconciling revenue, managing discrepancies, and supporting the team in troubleshooting technical issues.

Duties include:

• Accurately reconcile daily revenue across all outlets and departments (including EFTPOS and credit card transactions)

• Record and escalate any discrepancies

• Prepare and distribute daily float levels for operational needs

• Troubleshoot technical issues with ATMs, EFTPOS terminals, and Cash Recyclers

• Provide leadership and support to the Safe Attendants 

What you need to be considered

• Strong understanding of internal operational processes

• High-volume cash handling experience

• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Excel

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience

• High attention to detail with excellent data entry accuracy

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Appreciation for the importance of confidentiality
• Willing to undergo a criminal history check
• Ability to work full time hours (38 hours) effective from 23 April 2025.
