Convenience Buttons:     Time Remaining 13 days Senior Safety Advisor   About the role The Senior Safety Advisor will provide leadership in Rail Safety, Work Health and Safety, and Quality Management within the PTA Project Delivery (PPD) Division. As the primary point of contact for projects, this role is responsible for Overseeing the ongoing monitoring and reviewing of project safety obligations.

Play a key role in managing safety and quality performance on all PPD projects. Ensuring projects are undertaken in line with rail safety, health, safety, environment, and quality management policies to achieve the highest safety performance standards. Implementing audit programs to monitor compliance with PTA policies and procedures Ensuring that effective surveillance and auditing arrangements are in place.

Coordinating audits and inspections. Contributing to the development of a positive safety culture. Ensuring work complies with PTA requirements and legislative standards.

Fostering a competent and engaged workforce aligned with PTA objectives Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to the development of PTA management systems. Reporting and regulatory compliance, all while working to ensure consistency across divisions. Maintaining a strong focus on quality, risk management, and continuous improvement.

In addition to providing professional safety advice to project teams, the role has key leadership responsibilities, with the Senior Safety Advisor required to lead team of safety professionals and contractors. About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess: A recognised safety and/or quality qualification or significant practical experience, with in-depth knowledge of WA Health and Safety legislation, Rail Safety National Law, and future Work Health and Safety requirements. Strong understanding of applying safety and quality management principles in high-risk projects, especially within a 25kV electrified railway environment.

Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience providing effective direction and support to teams to achieve planned outcomes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in complex projects. High-level written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including expertise in negotiation, consultation, presentation, and facilitation, enabling effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Well-developed analytical abilities, with a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex issues through innovative solutions, aligning with organisational objectives and safety requirements.

Strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of safety and quality objectives in a dynamic project environment. About Us
