Senior Statutory Reporting Analyst Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding financial institution located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, is seeking a Senior Statutory Reporting Analyst to oversee critical reporting functions and spearhead system improvements across the control division. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to take ownership of regulatory and statutory reporting while also driving operational efficiencies within the organization. As the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, you will play an integral role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining reporting accuracy, and fostering strong relationships across departments. Your deep knowledge of AASB standards, statutory reporting requirements, and financial regulations will allow you to guide best practices and enhance reporting frameworks. Additionally, this position offers a leadership component, serving as Second-In-Command (2IC) to support strategic decision-making and provide mentorship to the team. Key Responsibilities include: Financial Statement Preparation & Review – Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Liquidity & Cashflow Analysis – Assist in monitoring liquidity positions and conduct cashflow assessments to support financial strategy.Stakeholder Engagement – Act as a liaison for auditors and clients, providing expertise to resolve reporting-related issues efficiently.Investment Reporting & Analysis – Deliver reports, conduct financial analysis, and provide insights for the investment group.Financial Consolidation – Manage the consolidation of financial statements across various entities within the organization.Statutory Reporting – Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting in line with APRA regulations.Audit & Compliance Management – Build strong relationships with auditors, facilitate reviews, and support the regulatory audit process.Risk & Policy Review – Oversee operational risk policies, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and internal frameworks.
