Our client is a large Government organisation who are seeking 2 x Senior Strategic Planning Officers to join their team.

These two Strategic planner roles should hold qualifications in urban planning, precinct planning, master planning or infrastructure planning or related, or have equivalent experience. 

Key Responsibilities:  

1. Provide advice, reports, briefings and analysis on state and local government planning policies, regulations and legislation affecting the delivery of education and asset proposals to schools.
2. Prepare briefs and responses to correspondence and enquiries relating to the policy and procedures impacting on the physical assets owned and operated by the department. Prepare submissions to local councils and proponents.
3. Assess the impact of planning proposals, precinct, growth area plans and master plans by third parties on departmental assets and operations.
4. Assist in the provision of planning information services to internal stakeholders and participate in departmental and inter agency committees and working parties.
5. Contribute to the overall housing master planning process and indicative layout plans for Infrastructure Planning projects.

Selection Criteria: 

1.      Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning, precinct planning, master planning or infrastructure planning or related 

2.      Knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and other relevant legislation in relation to land use and property development, including licenses, subdivision, rezoning and construction. 

3.      Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to the value of public education.

On offer is a contract until August 2025 with potential extensions - at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
