Senior Structural Drafter

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Structural Drafter with strong Revit skills to join our Sydney team. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality civil and structural documentation for infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, bridges, and other transport structures. This is an excellent opportunity for a drafter who enjoys working on complex civil structures and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed structural documentation using Revit and AutoCAD for infrastructure projects.Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, rail structures, and related civil works.Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of design and documentation.Ensure all documentation complies with project standards, client specifications, and relevant codes (AS, Austroads, TfNSW, ARTC standards, etc.).Mentor junior drafters and assist in refining drafting processes and templates.Attend project coordination meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants as needed.Manage multiple project deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Skills and ExperienceMinimum 7+ years experience in structural drafting within the civil/infrastructure sector.Highly proficient in Revit Structures and AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is advantageous.Strong understanding of civil/structural components.Familiarity with Australian Standards, Austroads, and/or Transport for NSW (TfNSW) design requirements.Ability to interpret engineering sketches and specifications into detailed, buildable drawings.Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools like BIM360 is desirable.
