OK… TELL ME WHAT THE JOB IS!

Based in Adelaide or Melbourne, you will work closely with colleagues across all offices (Melbourne, Adelaide, and the Philippines). You will model, report, and document ESD projects and present to clients with a focus on excellent customer service. With your passion for sustainability in the built environment, you will have the following knowledge and experience in: 

• A Bachelor of Engineering or Architecture is required. 

• A Master's degree in Energy Efficient & Sustainable Buildings or something similar is desirable.

• Minimum 3 years of sustainability consultancy experience.

• High level knowledge, understanding and interpretation of the Australian Building Code including compliance requirements for energy efficiency.

• Specific knowledge of differences in state requirements such as BASIX in NSW and BESS in Victoria

• Ability to understand complex technical architectural residential drawings.

• Proficient in NatHERS rating tools, mainly FirstRate 5 for Class 1-2 buildings.

• Proficient in Design Builder or IES, or any other software tools used for building performance simulation.

• NatHERS Cert IV is desirable.

• Experience in BASIX assessments is desirable.

• Knowledge and experience in BESS assessments is desirable.

• Experienced in client and account management. The job role will include daily communication with clients and the team, including the management of projects based on deadlines.

• Experience and support in presenting company services to clients for business development.

• Passion for sustainability and delivering exceptional outcomes to clients. Support the team to ensure work is technically correct and completed to customer expectations.

• Develop new clients and manage existing clients in line with the business plan, working with your manager and BD specialist as/ when appropriate.

• Excellent English language and communication skills - written and verbal.

• Work accurately and efficiently on quotes and tenders in close liaison with your manager and the BD specialist.

• Champion being a SUHO Ambassador by driving and supporting the SUHO policies and procedures.

• Keep abreast with industry standards and changes. 

• Drive the review of ethical and technical suitability of methods and address queries.

• Commitment to technical excellence, ongoing learning and development.

• Leadership skills - able to mentor team members.

  • Mentoring consultants in their professional and personal development.

  • Mentoring consultants in supporting client needs.
