This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to support projects throughout the Greater Brisbane Region. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Site Teams to drive impactful health and safety outcomes and initiatives. The role involves travel to various sites across Greater Brisbane and Toowoomba.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures
- Contribute to maintaining, recommending and implementing continuous improvements of WHSE programs
- Provide guidance and continuous feedback to employees on safe working procedures
- Establish collaborative and supportive relationships to achieve effective safety outcomes
- Support and facilitate incident investigation processes
About you
As an experienced Safety professional, you'll demonstrate:
- Proven experience within a HSE role and delivering health and safety outcomes on civil projects
- Certificate IV in OHS
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation, regulation and industry best practices
- Knowledge of Government training polices and Indigenous Procurement
- Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule Safety Programs
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook,Word
- Ability to lead HSE communications in small groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop good rapport with people at all levels
- Hold a current Drivers licence with reliable transport
