About the role

Carrington st auto repairs' is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Service Adviser with Technical Automotive knowledge and qualifications to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. We are a premium Repco Authorised Service Centre and a Nexdrive Service Centre with a reputation that has been built over 10 years on customer service and outstanding workmanship, we are proud to be the next generation of vehicle servicing in Hybrid and EV vehicles other vehicle powertrains. As a full-time Service Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to our valued clients. This role will suit a qualified automotive technician who is experienced with organisational skills and attention to detail. Also with an opportunity for someone who is working with diagnostics of vehicles with the ambition to step into a Service Adviser Role - you should also apply.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing professional and courteous customer service to clients, including greeting, assessing vehicle issues, and managing customer expectations

  • Liaising with the workshop technicians to obtain diagnostic information and repair estimates for customers

  • Preparing and presenting service quotations, work orders, and invoices.

  • Organising and scheduling vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to customer accounts and service history.

  • Assisting with the implementation of new processes and procedures to improve workshop efficiency

  • Promoting and processing additional services and products to customers within our company procedures and recommendations.

  • Quality control, ensuring that completed work meets quality standards and customers expectations.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience as a Service Adviser or Service Manager in an automotive workshop environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to understand and explain repair requirements to customers (relevant to our industry).

  • Excellent customer service skills, and interpersonal skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients

  • Proficient in using automotive management software and other relevant computer systems (Microbase - Automation Program is a bonus)

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with both customers and technical staff

  • Accept payments and process correctly within our computer system.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of office practices and customer service skills, and are prepared to learn and develop business and personal skills to suit our business practice.

  • A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to providing high-quality service

  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to work fulltime
