Service Person

We are looking for a skilled Service Person to join our team at South Walker Creek Mine, just two hours from Mackay. In this role, you will provide essential servicing and maintenance support for heavy plant and machinery, ensuring our fleet operates smoothly.

• From $62 per hour – full-time, based on experience!

• DIDO/BIBO options from Mackay to Coppabella (less than 2 hours from Mackay).

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist in routine maintenance and servicing of heavy mining equipment, including oil and filter changes.
• Record, report, and document equipment issues, damages, and servicing activities accurately.
• Perform refuelling operations on mining equipment as directed.
• Identify and report potential hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the mine's SHMS, and promote a strong safety culture.

What We’re Looking For:

• Unrestricted rights to work in Australia (mandatory). Note: Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the mining/civil industry
• RIISAM212D - Service mine plant and equipment (highly desirable)
• RIIVEH306 - Operate a Mine Service Vehicle VOC (highly desirable)
• RIIVEH307 - Operate Heavy Rigid Vehicle VOC (highly desirable)
• Heavy Rigid Truck Driver's Licence (highly desirable)
• Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain).
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organised work environment.
