Service Team Leader – Heavy Diesel Agricultural Mechanic

Boekeman Machinery is a family run agricultural equipment business located throughout the Wheatbelt of Western Australia. The group employs approximately 120 staff throughout 5 branches and has been operating for over 55 years. 

The Role

We are seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Service Team Leader to join our busy team at our Dalwallinu Branch 

The responsibilities of the role include diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, both in field and in the workshop, including new machine pre-delivery works. Assisting the Service Manager with workplace maintenance issues, such as supervising maintenance and replacement of workshop tools and equipment, a strong focus on productivity and efficiency.  

The successful applicant will have exceptional supervisory skills, enjoy working in a team environment and value having contact with our customers. They will be organized to assist in the scheduling and planning of workshop jobs, supervising and mentoring apprentices and other workshop team members, checking work on completed jobs and quality control. 

Further to this, applicant will require:

• Relevant Mechanical trade qualifications
• Manual driver's license
• Strong technical diagnostic abilities in Mechanical, Electrical and hydraulics
• Problem solving skills and diagnostic ability
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Customer service skills
