Service Technician-Mechanic

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Service Technician/Mechanic to join our team.  We are a fast-growing business servicing all truck mounted crane models, Selling and specialising in market leading European products of Hiab , Effer, Maxilift and Unic truck cranes.

About the role 

To be successful in this role we need you to have experience in Mechanical or mobile plant industry. You have a trade qualification (plant mechanic/diesel fitter/motor mechanic).  Ideally you would  have worked on  cranes, heavy earth moving equipment and/or trucks. You have a car and current license . Most importantly you will also possess a desire to satisfy customer needs, an ability to communicate effectively,  have a team first mentality and a proven ability to work unsupervised with a track record of working safely.

Duties 

• Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical diagnosis

• Major and minor services

• Maintenance and component replacements

• Fabrication and new machine build as required

• Complete Service Reports

• Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field

Skills & experience 

• Trade qualified Mechanical field.

• Ability to fault find

• A current driver’s license

• Forklift and Truck license advantageous

• Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace

• Experience with either  welding/fabrication, auto electrics and hydraulics is a distinct advantage
