Motobility is a leading Australian business specialising in mobility equipment sales, service and repairs. We are renowned for our quality products and exceptional customer service. With three successful retail stores located in Western Australia, we are very excited to now open our first Victorian branch, located in Mornington!

The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician to work in our first Victoria store, reporting directly to the owner. You’ll be able to join the store from the very beginning and will be responsible for assembling, delivering, installing, servicing and repairing mobility equipment, both in-store and in our customers' homes via our mobile service vans. You will receive ample training, which could include a trip to Perth, WA for hands-on training at Head Office!

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnose, test and repair a variety of mobility aids, including powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters in the workshop and in customers' homes.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on mobility devices to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • Deliver, set up and train customers on how to safely use their mobility products.

  • Offer exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in person

  • Assist with warehouse tasks, including receiving deliveries and organising spare parts.

  • Operate a forklift as needed.

  • Ensure workplace cleanliness and follow OH&S policies and procedures.

  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Electronics knowledge, and/or general mechanical aptitude (technical training provided)

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a positive “can-do” attitude

  • A problem-solving mindset

  • Team player with excellent communication skills

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • A forklift license is advantageous but not essential as we can provide training & certification.

  • Willingness to undergo NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) check. All costs covered.

  • Willingness to receive annual flu vaccination and other vaccinations as required by the NDIS

  • Ability to travel to WA for paid training (all expenses included)

  • Willingness to do occasional overnight travel (all expenses incl)

  • A background working with the elderly, warehousing or a delivery driver would be advantageous but not essential

  • Ability to work Mondays 8:30 am – 5 pm and Tuesdays–Fridays 9-5 pm
